Getting the last parts and putting together the big tower this weekend! I was really beating my head against the wall this week, but now I'm excited. I think this design has real potential.
Last year I picked up three gazebo bags that someone had thrown out when moving. No fabric, just various diameters of poles and connectors. I wanted them to extend my well boring tool so I could dig deeper. This looks like a good use for the leftover poles.
One comment; don't drink that water, or use it for watering food crops. Trash sacs are made from recycled plastic and include toxic chemicals - that's why they smell bad. You need to use food grade plastic.
This is incredibly helpful. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to hearing about the progress!

Smart. Not everyone can has the facility to engineer such a system. It’s smart. I applaud you!
Thanks! It took a minute, but I think it's a pretty good design!
Slick! With dew that is…
Do the dew!

Glad to see you and others are tackling the current state of water. We need more voices like yours.
Cool design!
Thanks!

Don’t you still “need a droid who understands the binary language of moisture vaporators.” … A C-3PO?
Just kidding! Thank you for sharing this. I will give it a try, perhaps at first as a scaled down prototype.
The garbage bag material is very thin nowadays. Maybe I can find something industrial strength.
What about bacterial contamination? Just use regular purification tablets, or is there no need?
We use 40 gallon "contractor" bags from hardware stores. Pretty sturdy! Let me know what you decide to go with.
Amazing study! Eager to see it evolve
What do you do with the top, to keep debris and bugs and animals out?
I guess every little helps! Curious on net extraction/production over time but looks fascinating.
