Most people have no idea what a major accomplishment this is. Serious congratulations. You are one few people I know doing the actual work of resilience, not just stocking up on ammo and protein powder.

I agree with "I Was Never Here." You out-did yourself, Jessica! This sounds like a project that would take dozens of employees across several companies in Research & Development, Design, Fabrication, and Testing. I'm happy for you.

Thanks for sharing this information. Your post is a great example of how prepping is seldom an all or nothing proposition. Everyone can do a lot by just working with what they have.

A huge amount of water falls from the sky. Even in an arid climate 10x10 area will receive 700 gallons of rainfall during an average year.

The point is, We are not beholden to the water company or the government . Your post illustrates this very nicely.

Thank you!! Water is my biggest concern. I had planned to get a sawyer gravity drain setup but also will need to harvest rainwater. I have a more compl situation bc I’m totally NOT mechanically inclined and we currently don’t have gutters, but I have a tin roof over my back deck and hopefully will be able to figure out how to collect it

We use a 400 gallon stainless steel tank in our windmill powered stock water system, not the one in this link but similar. Obviously it cost more than your whole system. Do you think one could safely be used? (You've done all the research, I'm just picking your brain.) https://ebay.io/m/qeyxs4
