It's so hard to find a competent assassin these days.

The far right don't have martyrs.

Martyrs are a function of community, the far right only care about themselves.

So many good points. But Trump is just a symptom. Your work on surviving in the apocalypse is one solution. Socialist revolution is another. Vive la Revolucion!

Thank you for so perfectly summarizing my feelings about this…

Same show, different day…

Monday with undoubtedly whitewash last weeks episode with additional insane statements and atrocities galore thanks to MAGA ignorance, arrogance, incompetence and fear mongering…

You need better writing MAGA, your reality show sucks and nobody cares about you 🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸

Right you are. Tara Palmeri was not at the dinner, out of protest. She connected with Abi Baker, who was there. Tara asked Abi to walk around with her phone, and was surprised to see people in nearby rooms still sitting for dinner, or standing and ordering drinks. Tara said, "Why haven't they evacuated the hotel? There could be someone else in there!" Meh, I guess.

My hand is raised. The power of the people in power and the voters had, was relinquished long ago by themselves.

Yesterday I read the Secretary of the Navy was fired because delivering ( beginning production) of a fleet of new 'Trump' class battleships in 2028 was deemed unfeasible.

Once I stopped laughing, I realised Trump was a composite of Wile E Coyote, Homer Simpson and Daffy Duck.

When I later read some Fudd had declared 'Trump' season, I knew I was on the right track.

I don't believe being almost killed or actually killed somehow sanctifies you. To paraphrase Moms Mabley: " They say you should only speak good of the dead. He was almost dead. That's good"

Apt description!

Raising my hand — I don’t care either about this latest act in a very boring, tragic stage play.

Indeed. I’m too much of a news junkie, I confess, but I can’t stand to read or watch any of the decayed, cliched coverage of wherever this was. It’s visceral, involuntary for me.

Like you and many others, I’m done. My blood pressure will thank me.

You’re so good. Please keep it up!

Thanks, on it!

Right there with you, Jessica.

Old Soviet joke:

A man goes to a newsstand every day and looks at just the front pages of all the newspapers. The guy behind the stand asks him what he's looking for. "An obituary".

"But comrade, obituaries aren't on the front page!" "The one I'm looking for will be."

Old proverb be careful what you wish for.

While I am not a fan, there are so many underlying policies, alliances, it’s like a jenga tower. Be wise, quiet, and observed, there is so much going on

Would I want Trump dead? What a waste of emotional energy.

If he appears to have been shot dead, millions wouldn't believe it, and I'd be one of them. We are just at the end of the penultimate act of the play called "The End of the American Empire".

Meet me in the bar during the interval Jessica, and I'll buy you a drink.

When he got re-elected, my first thought was that there would be blood in the streets before this is ended and that it would take at least three decades to sort out our country again.

If the next Prez is a so-called "democrat" who doesn't open criminal cases on this Administration IMMEDIATELY, time to Impeach. That's assuming there is another election. I don't have high hopes at this time.

I believe much like Jan 6th was ' A Day of Love' the gunman was just showing his love for MAGA.
